Writing’s Greatest Reward

From writing I seek no glory. What I hope for is to share God’s good news. To have people read my books and gain something from them is the only reward worth anything to me.

Easter Sunday I visited with my sister and worshiped at her church. I was surprised to see a worn copy of Secret Promise on top of a purse on a pew. Later my sister explained that the woman who had left the book there received it from her mother, who bought it at a book signing. The one who inherited the book planned to take it to the nursing home to share it with her mother-in-law. What a blessing!

“My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad." (Psalm 34:2)
